Note: Covered Bridge Equestrian Center charges a $10 grounds fee per person. Private lessons are available, and family or friends are welcome to join. Check our schedule for upcoming group events. Contact us for additional options.

Private Lessons

Private lessons start at $150 for an hour, including grooming, halter, and riding skills. Join us to learn horsemanship in a fun, supportive environment. Contact us for details.

Learn to build connection and a foundational relationship from ground up.

$150 /1 hour lesson

 (California program Additional$10 separate Grounds fee applies payable to Covered Bridge Equestrian Center.)

 For current clients $250.00/pp trailer horse use fee for 2 hours at and obstacle play, in Felton.

 (Extra cost; $15.00/pp day use fee per rider to Santa Cruz County Horsemen's Association)

Note: You must be accompanied by a Horseman's member (HS teacher) to be invited to go to Horsemen's grounds.

Kid Days !

Current students spend the day immersed in horse time—grooming, groundwork, and riding—plus fun activities like outdoor games, crafts, and time with the horses. This hands-on experience is designed for all levels and helps kids build confidence, learn horsemanship skills, and connect with animals and peers in a supportive environment.

Plea

Current students spend the day immersed in horse time—grooming, groundwork, and riding—plus fun activities like outdoor games, crafts, and time with the horses. This hands-on experience is designed for all levels and helps kids build confidence, learn horsemanship skills, and connect with animals and peers in a supportive environment.

Please be sure to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and clothing suitable for sprinklers. 

Lunch provided, organic and GMO-free options. 

Cost: $250 

 Non-refundable Deposit: $100 

(California program Additional$10 separate Grounds fee applies payable to Covered Bridge Equestrian Center.)

Fruit and snacks, including cheese provided. (No peanuts, but other nuts are available) Special diet needs, please bring your food to fit.

Please see the events page for our two 1 day June summer dates. Friday for beginners Saturday for more advanced. Ocean Grove, ICS students welcome.

PARENTS: If you want to get more familiar with how horses interact with us, please feel free to join us! 

For Kristin, teaching is educating those who might want a horse someday, and parents need to be educated in order to help their children succeed.  

For those parents who have other things needing attention during lesson time, drop-offs are also accepted.

Volunteer Program - Please get in contact with Kristin for eligibility.

Students may volunteer for school credit. Horse Sense Education and Advocacy is a Vendor and is allowed to sign for school credit. CBE Monthly fee applied (Covered Bridge Equestrian Center is a separate entity from Horse Sense and requires a monthly fee even for volunteer participation) 

Home School coursework: Horsemanship, Equine Husbandry including nutrition, basic Zoology instruction. Level up through High School.
