Our Mission
Horse Sense Education & Advocacy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the quality of life for both humans and horses through education, connection, advocacy, and meaningful interactions with horses.
We believe horses have an incredible ability to help people slow down, reconnect, build confidence, and discover new ways of communicating and connecting.
Our work begins with the horses. Through rehabilitation, education, and compassionate care, we create opportunities for people and horses to build relationships based on trust, respect, and understanding.
Our programs are designed to empower people of all ages and backgrounds in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Our Programs
Since 2010, Horse Sense Education & Advocacy has been committed to education, connection, advocacy, and the well-being of both people and horses.
Our programs and outreach opportunities serve a variety of community members, including youth, families, veterans, homeschool students, charter school students, and others.
We work in collaboration with community organizations and partners, including CASA, veteran and family programs, homeschool and charter communities, and others.

Nonprofit Community Events
From monthly Horse Tales to parades and local fair outreach, we bring people and horses together with storytelling, learning, and celebration. Veteran Outreach
For many veterans, the transition home comes with challenges that words alone can't always reach. Horses can. Through hands-on, equine-assisted programs, we offer veterans a space to reconnect — with themselves, with others, and with a sense of calm that's often hard to find elsewhere.
Our commitment to veterans doesn't stop at the barn. We're also active in veteran outreach throughout our community, building relationships and awareness so that more veterans and their families know this kind of support is here for them.

Youth and Family Outreach
Whether through our nonprofit programs, volunteer opportunities, or outreach throughout our community, young people and their families who spend time with our horses learn responsibility, patience, and confidence that lasts well beyond the barn.
